Come join us for a summer of fun at Kamp Kiwanis!
Kamp Kiwanis is located in Taberg, N.Y. Staff at Kamp reside at the kamp during weekly sessions with time off daily and one day on the weekend. Lodging and meals are included. Kamp Kiwanis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
The first week of kamp is for adults with developmental disabilities. The main population served by Kamp Kiwanis is underprivileged youth with and without special needs. Kamp sessions will end Aug. 18.

The following positions are open:
Administration Director: In charge of the day to day implementation of the office, including registration. Must be 21 or older.
Kitchen Manager or Head Cook: Plans, directs and supervises the camp's food service. Must be a college student or at least 18 years old.
Maintenance/Janitorial: Work with Maintenance Director to assure that the Kamp property is safe, clean and in good repair. Must be able to work individually while within a team to complete regular Kamp projects to include bathroom janitorial, lawn care and Kamp Maintenance; must be 18 or older.
Kitchen Assistant: Work with Kitchen Manager to assure that meals are prepared on time and in a safe, clean and nutritious manner. Must be willing to wash dishes and prep-cook. Must be able to work individually while in a team to complete everyday projects to include camper laundry, 3 meals per day, 1 snack and regular kitchen clean up.
Counselor (Male): Must have experience or a desire to work with children and adults that are underprivileged and may have special needs. Must have a specialty in one of the following areas: waterfront, sports, arts and crafts and music/dance/drama. Will live in a cabin with the Kampers; must be 18 or older.

Lifeguard (Male): Must have excellent swimming skills and is able to swim 500 meters. Certificate not needed, will train. Must have experience or a desire to work with children and adults that are underprivileged and may have special needs. Will live in a cabin with the Kampers; must be 18 or older.

Health Supervisor/RN/LPN: Must have NY license. Will help to run the camp health center under the direction of the Health Supervisor. Will distribute medications and will provide first aid as needed; must be 18 or older.

Music/Dance/Drama Director: Plans, directs and supervises the camp's creative arts program and the music, dance, drama staff. Must be a college student or at least 18 years of age.
Secretary: Manage the camp's business concerns. Must be at least 21 years old.
Sports Director: Plans, directs and supervises the camp's sports programs and sports staff. Must be a college student or at least 18 years of age.
Arts and Crafts Director: Plans, directs and supervises the camp's arts and crafts program and arts and crafts staff. Must be 21 years old.
Nature Director: Plans, directs and supervises the camp's fishing and nature program. Must be college student or at least 18 years old.
Co-Waterfront Director: Plans, directs and supervises the camp's aquatics program. Must be 21 or older.
Boys Unit Leader: Head Counselor for a specific age group, supervises staff and cabins of children, responsible for parent and agency contacts. Must be at least 21 years old.
Girls Unit Leader: Head Counselor for a specific age group, supervises staff and cabins of children, responsible for parent and agency contacts. Must be at least 21 years old.
